Teresa Walsh, Global Head of Intelligence for FS-ISAC
Teresa is the Global Head of Intelligence for FS-ISAC (Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Centre) and based in London, England. FS-ISAC’s 7,000-strong members, which include regulated financial institutions in over 50 countries, actively share on threat actors, suspicious events, incidents, intelligence analysis and best practices. Teresa manages the formal sharing operations, finished intelligence analysis production and public-private partnerships of the FS-ISAC with personnel in four countries. Teresa trained as a professional intelligence analyst in the US government as a civilian with the Department of Defence and then served over six years at two multinational banks in Europe.
Abstract
Being an intelligence analyst means addressing your stakeholders’ requirements. For FS-ISAC, this means expanding beyond its American roots and creating an intelligence programme that can focus geographically and across financial services types. Leading a 20-year old company into new directions requires the active participation of it member owners, though, and Teresa will brief how the members are helping FS-ISAC break through in different areas, including building the first ever industry-focused malware repository.
